Thanks to the third consecutive comeback, Ashleigh Barty conquered the eleventh trophy of her extraordinary career. After beating in three sets Karolina Pliskova and Elina Svitolina, respectively in the quarter-finals and in the semifinals, the Australian champion managed to hypnotize even Aryna Sabalenka 3-6,0-6,6-3, also affected by a problem to her right leg, in the last act of the prestigious German tournament.

Barty’s emotions after the final match
Australian Ashley Barty commented on her victory at the tournament in Stuttgart.
“It’s been an incredible week, I’ve played a huge amount of matches. I think I’m starting to take my tennis to the next level. On the court, I act calm, play freely and relaxed.
I’m very proud to have my name on a par with Justine Henin and Lindsay Davenport. They are great champions, tennis legends. It’s great to share history with them.”
